Chaminade baseball catcher, Jason D’Andrea, is committed to UCLA, one of the top ranked Division I baseball programs in the country. He hopes to add one more accomplishment before he heads off to UCLA; win a CIF championship. Although his team did not win the Mission League title, they have a great opportunity to avenge a harsh defeat. D’Andrea has had an excellent senior season thus far, which includes a .410 batting average, a .590 slugging percentage, and 9 RBIs. He hopes to finish strong.

Chaminade spring sports are nearing an end and two teams have successfully advanced to the CIF playoffs after memorable seasons. First, the Chaminade boy’s baseball team advanced to the playoffs after finishing their season with an 18-7 record including a 9-3 record in the Mission League. The baseball team hopes to win CIF for the first time in school history. Next, the girl’s softball team finished the season 19-7, including a 10-0 record in Mission League good enough for first place.
