North Carolina High School Basketball - Concord held off by Northwest Cabarrus

In Thursday's league test, the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC) basketball squad got by the host Concord Spiders (Concord, NC), by a score of 59-52.

Next, the Trojans encounter the Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC) in a 3A South Piedmont test, on Tuesday, January 14. Northwest Cabarrus will attempt to improve on its 9-5 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 10-5 record after their 81-21 league win over South Rowan (China Grove, NC).

The Spiders (10-5) will now prepare for their test against Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Vikings come into the 3A South Piedmont test with a 7-7 record. In their last test, Central Cabarrus was nipped by Robinson (Concord, NC), 79-70, in a league test.
