In Friday's league test, the Concord Spiders (Concord, NC) basketball squad knocked off the host Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC), by a score of 75-67.

Next, the Spiders encounter the West Rowan Falcons (Mt. Ulla, NC) in a 3A South Piedmont test, on Friday, December 20. Concord will attempt to improve on its 7-1 season record. The Falcons come into the test with a 1-5 record after their 78-39 league loss to Robinson (Concord, NC).

The Knights (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Trojans come into the 3A South Piedmont test with a 5-2 record. In their last game, Northwest Cabarrus toppled South Rowan (China Grove, NC), 69-49, in a league game.
