The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD) and the visiting Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD), observed Chopticon's basketball team overwhelm Patuxent by a score of 81-52.

With the victory, Chopticon advances its record to 5-5 on the year. The Braves host McDonough (Pomfret, MD) to meet the Rams in a Southern Maryland battle on Wednesday, January 15. The Rams enter the battle with a record of 6-3. McDonough won 51-43 in their recent league battle against Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD)

The Panthers now own a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westlake for a Southern Maryland battle on Wednesday, January 15. Patuxent will meet a Wolverines squad coming off a 67-62 league loss to Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD). The Wolverines record now stands at 1-9.
