North Carolina High School Basketball - Northwest Cabarrus sneaks past Central Cabarrus

January 17, 2025: Concord, NC 28025

The Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC) basketball edged the host Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC), 57-52 in Friday's league bout.

The Trojans now possess a 10-6 record. They play next when they host East Rowan for a 3A South Piedmont bout on Tuesday, January 21. Northwest Cabarrus will play a Mustangs team coming off a 62-28 league loss to Concord (Concord, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-15.

With the loss, Central Cabarrus falls to 8-8 on the campaign. The Vikings host Carson (China Grove, NC) to play the Cougars in a 3A South Piedmont bout on Tuesday, January 21. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 11-6. Carson lost 74-52 in their recent league bout against Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC)
