The Porter Ridge Pirates basketball team scored 68 points and held the host Weddington Warriors to 48 in the Pirates league triumph on Tuesday.

The Pirates now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sun Valley for a 4A Conference 58 contest on Friday, February 3. Porter Ridge will battle a Spartans team coming off a 52-34 league win over Piedmont (Monroe, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 11-11.

The Warriors (5-13) will now prepare for their contest against Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC). The Cavaliers enter the 4A Conference 58 contest with a 12-9 record. In their last contest, Cuthbertson was defeated by Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC), 50-43, in a league contest.
