In Saturday's non-league test, the Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers (Buckhannon, WV) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), by a tally of 8-0.

Next, the Buccaneers clash with the Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV) in a Big Ten test, on Monday, March 31. Buckhannon-Upshur will attempt to advance on its 4-4 season record. The Cougars go into the test with a 3-2 record after their 13-10 league win over East Fairmont (Fairmont, WV).

The Knights (1-4) will now prepare for their test against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV). The Indians go into the Big Ten test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Bridgeport prevailed over Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV), 29-19, in a league test.
