North Carolina High School Volleyball - Murphy bounced by Swain County
September 11, 2025: Murphy, NC 28906 Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC), 3-0 in a league test.
With the win, Swain County improves its record to 6-5 on the season. The Maroon Devils travel to Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC) to face the Mustangs in a non-league test on Monday, September 15. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 6-6. Smoky Mountain won 3-0 in their recent league test against North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC)
Next, the Bulldogs meet the Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A/2A challenge, on Tuesday, September 16. Murphy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record.
