St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions (Potomac, MD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Sidwell Friends Quakers (Washington, DC), 51-50 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Andrew's Episcopal upgrades its record to 15-3 on the season. The Lions host Maret (Washington, DC) to clash with the Frogs in a Mid-Atlantic bout on Friday, January 27. The Frogs go into the bout with a record of 13-7. Maret won 67-57 in their recent non-league bout against Landon (Bethesda, MD)

Next up, the Quakers clash with the Flint Hill Huskies (Oakton, VA) in a VISAA Division I bout, on Thursday, January 26. Sidwell Friends will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 99-64 non-league win over St. James (Hagerstown, MD).
