The Starr's Mill Panthers basketball squad (Fayetteville, GA), was nudged 56-54 in Friday's league battle with the host Central Lions (Carrollton, GA)

With the victory, Central advances its record to 17-3 on the year. The Lions host Griffin (Griffin, GA) to meet the Bears in a AAAA Region 3 battle on Saturday, January 25. The Bears enter the battle with a record of 10-7.
