In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Central Lions basketball team scored a good 69-56 triumph over the Northside Patriots.

The Lions (13-3) will now prepare for their contest against Griffin (Griffin, GA). The Bears go into the AAAA Region 3 contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, Griffin topped Mundy's Mill (Jonesboro, GA), 58-52, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Jonesboro Cardinals (Jonesboro, GA) in a AAAA Region 3 contest, on Monday, January 13. Northside will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record.
