The Central Lions (Carrollton, GA) basketball edged the host Jonesboro Cardinals (Jonesboro, GA), 62-57 in Tuesday's league game.

The Lions now possess a 12-3 record. They play next when they travel to Northside for a AAAA Region 3 game on Thursday, January 9. Central will confront a Patriots team coming off a 62-57 league loss to Mundy's Mill (Jonesboro, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 6-7.
