The Monroe Central Golden Bears volleyball squad (Parker City, IN), was edged 3-2 in Thursday's league battle with the host Blue River Valley Vikings (Mt. Summit, IN)

With the win, Blue River Valley improves its record to 12-13 on the season. The Vikings travel to Cowan (Muncie, IN) to encounter the Blackhawks in a Mid-Eastern battle on Friday, October 10. The Blackhawks go into the battle with a record of 9-15. Cowan lost 3-0 in their recent league battle against Wapahani (Selma, IN)

The Golden Bears now own a 10-19 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Seton Catholic for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 16. Monroe Central will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Northeastern (Fountain City, IN). The Cardinals record now stands at 10-19.
