Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Ballou Knights (Washington, DC) and the host Bell Griffins (Washington, DC), saw Ballou's basketball squad knock off Bell by a count of 56-45.

With the victory, Ballou upgrades its record to 1-7 on the campaign. The Knights host Banneker (Washington, DC) to play the Bulldogs in a DCSAA A challenge on Monday, December 19. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Banneker won 47-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Parkside (Washington, DC)

Next up, the Griffins play the Anacostia Indians (Washington, DC) in a DCSAA A challenge, on Monday, December 19. Bell will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 80-77 league win over Cardozo (Washington, DC).
