Match Summary

Set 1 was a battle with Lake Balboa taking small leads 5 times only to have Sun Valley storm back led by their outstanding OH #6. I never caught his name, but what a hitter! 4 times the score was tied, the last at 17 all. The Pioneers opened a 3 point lead 20-17 then by 4 at 22-18. The Lake show came back fending off an SVM game point & closed to 22-24 before letting go. Instead of too high, too soon Lake Balboa plunged into the bottom of the lake taking the set 1 loss way too hard. Set 2 opened up down for the Cougars down 2-11 in the first 3 rotations. That's a long way back if you wanna rock & roll! Sun Valley coasted to victory 25-12. The young Cougars were down but not quite out just yet. The Rocky Balboas opened up the third round 7-4. The teams duked it out to 11 all before Sun Valley took control of the match at 16-11. The teal & black fought back to 15-18 before letting it slip away to 15 -21. The Cougars closed again to 19-22 but could not change the outcome. A tough loss.
