The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the McKinley Tech Trainers (Washington, DC) and the host Ballou Knights (Washington, DC), observed McKinley Tech's basketball team edge Ballou by a score of 56-52.

The Trainers (11-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Georgetown Day (Washington, DC). The Mighty Hoppers come into the non-league challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, Georgetown Day was tipped by St. Andrew's Episcopal (Potomac, MD), 82-33, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Knights encounter the Banneker Bulldogs (Washington, DC) in a DCSAA A challenge, on Monday, January 13. Ballou will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record.
