The Weddington Warriors basketball team (Matthews, NC), dropped 66-51 in Friday's league battle with the host Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC)

The Panthers now sport a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sun Valley for a 4A Conference 58 battle on Tuesday, January 31. Piedmont will battle a Spartans team coming off a 52-30 league win over Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 10-10.

The Warriors (11-8) will now prepare for their battle against Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC). The Pirates come into the 4A Conference 58 battle with a 11-10 record. In their last battle, Porter Ridge prevailed over Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC), 57-51, in a league battle.
