Virginia High School Basketball - Fishburne Military holds off Covenant

December 8, 2022: Waynesboro, VA 22980

Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Fishburne Military Caissons (Waynesboro, VA) and the visiting Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA), saw Fishburne Military's basketball squad hold off Covenant by a tally of 48-47.

With the victory, Fishburne Military improves its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Caissons host Fork Union Military Academy (Fork Union, VA) to confront the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Fork Union Military Academy lost 78-52 in their recent league challenge against Saint John Paul the Great Catholic (Dumfries, VA)

Next up, the Eagles confront the Harrisonburg HomeSchool Lightning (Harrisonburg, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 12. Covenant will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Lightning come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 45-43 league loss to James River HomeSchool (Chesterfield, VA).
