New York, NY – After an upsetting loss over the weekend the La Salle Cardinals got back to work on Tuesday pounding the Sacred Heart Irish 17-4 on Randall’s Island. The Cardinals unleashed a 12-hit attack lead by senior, Carlos Lorenzo (3 for 4, 3 R, 3 RBIs), who also pitched the final inning, to pick up their sixth CHSAA ‘A’ division win.
Manuel Ramirez got the start and the ‘W’ tossing four innings for four hit ball giving up all four runs (only 2 were earned) with nine strikeouts and only 2 walks. La Salle batted around in the first inning plating 9 runs and followed up with six more in the second inning to put this one away early.
