New York, NY – In the first game of their Saturday double-header against the Bishop Loughlin, the La Salle Cardinals used a five run fifth to rally past the Lions for a 5-3 victory on Randall’s Island. The 5-runs helped erase an early 0-2 deficit and make a winner out of starting pitcher, Izzac Garcia, who went 6 1/3 innings, with 3 runs (1 earned) along with 8 strikeouts and 1 walk.
The Cardinals fell behind in large part to the 6 team errors but three hits and two RBIs from Carlos Lorenzo and two hits from Garcia, helped lead the team back in this big CHSAA ‘A’ division contest. The victory improved La Salle’s division record to 5-3.
