New York High School Baseball - Sacred Heart loses to LaSalle Academy

CARDINALS FLY FOR THIRD STRAIGHT
Yonkers, NY – It was not neat and clean but, in the end, it was an 11-2 victory (five inning mercy rule) by the La Salle Cardinals over the Irish of Sacred Heart at Welty Park in Yonkers, New York. The win improved La Salle's CHSAA varsity baseball 'A' division record to 2-2 and 3-5 overall.
Damien Maldonado had three hits and three RBIs while Eric Marmolejos and Xavier Guzman collected two hits apiece. The Cardinals jumped out to a 7-0 lead after two innings and never looked back. In addition to his two hits, Guzman, also had 4 RBIs and picked up the win on the mound tossing two innings of one-hit ball with five strikeouts.
