The lost drops the Cardinals to 0-2 in the early portion of the season but drops them 2 games behind the top two teams in the CHSAA ‘A’ Division behind St. Edmund and St. John’s Prep. Cardinals pitcher, Manuel Ramirez, battled through 5 gritty innings and was relieved by freshman, Anthony Gonzalez (L, 0-1), who ended up with the loss. Xavier Guzman, ripped an opposite field single to tie the game in the top of the 6th but La Salle became undone in the bottom of the seventh as they were unable to get outs on bunt attempts by St. Edmund, which eventually cost them the game.
