Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Mount Ayr Raiders (Mount Ayr, IA) and the visiting Southwest Valley (Corning, IA), saw Mount Ayr's basketball squad hold off Southwest Valley by a tally of 60-54.

With the victory, Mount Ayr improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Raiders host Lenox (Lenox, IA) to play the Tigers in a Pride of Iowa challenge on Tuesday, December 5. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 0-4. Lenox lost 42-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Bedford (Bedford, IA)
