North Carolina High School Basketball - Anson fells Union Academy

December 8, 2022: Wadesboro, NC 28170

Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC), 64-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Anson upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Bearcats host Chesterfield (Chesterfield, SC) to clash with the Golden Rams in a AA Region 5 bout on Friday, December 9. The Golden Rams go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Chesterfield lost 73-35 in their recent non-league bout against Great Falls (Great Falls, SC)

In their next game, the Cardinals face the Community School of Davidson Spartans (Davidson, NC) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, December 14. Union Academy will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Spartans enter the game with a 4-3 record after their 77-48 non-league win over Davidson Day (Davidson, NC).
