September 24, 2024: New Kent, VA 23124 New Kent Trojans (New Kent, VA) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Bruton Panthers (Williamsburg, VA), 3-0 in a league test.
With the win, New Kent improves its record to 12-1 on the season. The Trojans host Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA) to face the Rams in a Bay Rivers test on Thursday, September 26. The Rams go into the test with a record of 2-12. Lafayette lost 3-1 in their recent league test against Poquoson (Poquoson, VA)
The Panthers now own a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Smithfield for a Bay Rivers test on Thursday, September 26. Bruton will face a Packers squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Tabb (Yorktown, VA). The Packers record now stands at 3-9.
Match Summary
With their 3-0 sweep of the Panthers of Class 2 Bruton HS, the Lady Trojans extended their winning streak to 11 matches, upping their overall record to 12-1 and Bay Rivers record to 8-1.
