The East Rowan Mustangs basketball squad (Salisbury, NC), was crushed 70-39 in Friday's league battle with the host Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC)

With the victory, Central Cabarrus advances its record to 9-9 on the year. The Vikings travel to East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Eagles in a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 29. The Eagles enter the battle with a record of 12-7. East Mecklenburg won 78-33 in their recent league battle against Garinger (Charlotte, NC)

The Mustangs now own a 1-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carson for a 3A South Piedmont battle on Tuesday, January 28. East Rowan will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 60-57 league win over West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 13-6.
