In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Covington Trojans basketball team scored a close 27-23 triumph over the Fountain Central Mustangs.

The Trojans (9-11) will now prepare for their contest against Seeger (West Lebanon, IN). The Patriots go into the Wabash River contest with a 8-9 record.

In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Rossville Hornets (Rossville, IN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 8. Fountain Central will attempt to better on its 4-12 season record. The Hornets go into the contest with a 12-5 record after their 58-56 league win over Eastern (Greentown, IN).
