In Monday's league contest, the visiting Murphy Bulldogs basketball team scored a big 87-62 triumph over the Swain County Maroon Devils.

The Bulldogs (12-9) will now prepare for their contest against Hayesville (Hayesville, NC). The Yellowjackets go into the 1A Smoky Mountain - Big contest with a 11-11 record. In their last contest, Hayesville smashed Highlands (Highlands, NC), 73-24, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Maroon Devils confront the Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC) in a 1A Smoky Mountain - Big contest, on Tuesday, February 11.
